Deutschland Online 3

The “Deutschland Online 3” survey examines the current state of the broadband market as well as future trends leading up to the year 2015. The survey interviewed experts on general market trends as well as issues of relevance to their sector. These expert findings were then supplemented by a consumer survey.

The survey interviewed a total of 114 experts and 6,191 consumers. The experts were selected from providers of broadband access, broadband communications and broadband content as well as digital home solutions. For the Education and Society section of the survey, experts from public institutions were also interviewed. And finally, the section of the survey dealing with broadband Internet in the rest of Europe is based on interviews with experts from Great Britain, France, Spain, Italy and Sweden.

The findings of “Deutschland Online 3” reveal the significance of broadband technology over the next ten years and thereafter. They also spell out clearly what needs to be done by society and the enterprises that are going to be responsible for these changes.
